An affidavit says Jasmine’s mother, Catrina Bean, entered his apartment and found Jasmine's driver's license and several credit cards but didn't find Chen or Jasmine.
That affidavit says Catrina Bean told officers a neighbor told her they'd heard a loud disturbance around 2 a.m. on November 22nd.
Chattanooga Police request and are granted a warrant to search Chen's apartment.
An affidavit WTVC obtained a few days later says police found blood on the living room hardwood floor, bathroom grout, and bedroom carpet, along with blood splatter on the bathroom wall. They also found several cleaning supplies that had been recently purchased and noted broken glass and other evidence that suggested "a violent altercation."

Hamilton County District Attorney Coty Wamp and the police chief in Nolensville, Tennessee (near Nashville) announced that officers arrested Jason Chen at his family's home on criminal homicide charges.
Wamp says the arrest came after a search warrant of Chen's Tremont Street apartment found enough evidence to charge Chen.
An arrest affidavit says Chen had lacerations on his right hand that indicated he had been in some physical fight.
Chen was initially taken to jail in Nolensville, Tennessee, but on this date, he returned to Hamilton County, where he was held behind bars without bond.
Later in the day, WTVC obtained the affidavit outlining the evidence that police say led them to charge Chen (see November 27th above).
Later in the day, Catrina Pace posted to Facebook, saying, "The outpouring of true love and support from the community this past week has meant more than I can explain. I ask that our community and everyone who has been affected by this horrific event, everyone who has a daughter, a sister, a mother, or a grandmother, can sympathize with what we are being forced to process."
